At UBC, he conducted research on inequality, wage policy, and applied econometrics. He currently advises clients on advanced econometric methods. His consulting experience includes IDB Invest, where he analyzed demographic consumption patterns across Latin America, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), where he worked on impact evaluations in Egypt and Angola. In Canada, he was a Researcher with the British Columbia Basic Income Panel, studying interactions between income-support programs, housing policy, labor markets, inequality, and consumption.
In Brazil, his work focuses on the economic and financial analysis of concessions and public-private partnerships (PPPs) across infrastructure sectors. He has extensive expertise in quantitative methods—particularly microeconometrics and time-series analysis—applied to impact evaluation, wage dynamics, and high-frequency indicators of economic activity. He has published research in labor economics and econometrics.

He currently advises the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on impact evaluations of private-sector investments. From 2020 to 2023, he was a consultant for the World Bank, contributing to studies on social protection and labor-market policy and supporting policy dialogue with Brazil’s social policy institutions.
In Brazil, his work focuses on infrastructure finance, price modeling, and the economic and financial coordination of PPP and concession contracts, particularly in project structuring and rebalancing. He developed a reference-price estimation methodology now used by several public-sector agencies. He has extensive expertise in development economics, impact evaluation, and quantitative methods, with applications in economic indicators, demand and employment estimation, and public-sector pricing. He has published research in infrastructure economics and quantitative policy evaluation and serves as a referee for international academic journals.

He has led impact evaluation studies for firms such as JBS, Raízen, and iFood, and has developed databases and automation tools for institutions such as CNI. An expert in spatial econometrics, he applies this methodology to impact assessments and the delineation of influence areas in railway infrastructure projects.
